About Us

Growing up in South Africa it was evident from a young age that rugby brought South African citizens together by breaking the boundary of race and gender altogether, it was from there that David and Tyler found our love for the sport.

Unfortunately, we were both only given the opportunity to play the wonderful game at an older age as our Primary schools did not offer the sport as an extracurricular activity. For this reason, our love for the game only developed at a later stage in our lives.

Through our rugby journey, we were taught many life lessons that classrooms or parents were unable to teach us. Rugby not only taught us how to be involved in team environments but it allowed us to build strong friendships, create memories for a lifetime and it certainly helped mould us into the men who we are today.It is for that reason that we wish to provide athletes with the same opportunity at a younger age in life.

Ripple Effect Academy was therefore founded on the basis of giving children of all ages, race, and gender an opportunity to develop their rugby abilities in an environment that also teaches athletes to build new friendships, create lifelong memories and express themselves in a manner that allows all individuals to showcase who they are.
